Improving marketing strategies to enhance the performance of tree product value chains and smallholder livelihoods
Our research is investigating how adding value through either processing agroforestry tree products, diversifying income sources or better targeting certification interventions can improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
Through capacity building activities, we are working to strengthen the private sector in marketing seeds and seedlings, and enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of partner organizations such as non-governmental organizations and government extension services.
